Aurum - Carolina Reaper Rum n Raisin Hot Sauce - Apothecary

Bottled in the apothecary style, silicone corked, finished in British Wax, dark metallic green and gold, with our hand tied swing tag. Limited supplies and exclusive to us. You won't find these elsewhere.

Introducing 'Aurum' which is latin for gold but also plays on the French words 'with rum' (not spelling might I add), This is our first Carolina Reaper chilli sauce, with rum and raisins. The Carolina Reapers were fermented for 6 months with salt and vinegar, and the raisins were soaked in the overproof dark rum for 9 months, then sauce created, blended, bottled and waxed. There is also a little vanilla & cacao powder to enhance the experience, and a touch of allspice for that Caribbean feel. 

This sauce is ideal for white meats, poultry and fish, but also think of banana desserts, fruit and pancakes!

Ingredients: Red Chilli, Demerara Sugar, Carolina Reaper Chilli Mash (75% Carolina Reaper, Cider Vinegar, Sea Salt), White Wine Vinegar, Dark Rum (8.3%), Orange Juice, Raisins (6.7%), Rapeseed Oil, Orange, Cacao Powder, Arbol Chilli, Vanilla Extract, Allspice.
